About iesim

iesim.org is a small, independent site that helps visitors to China, Hong Kong and Macau stay connected — without the guesswork.

What we do

Getting online in China is different from anywhere else, and most eSIM advice is written by the companies selling them. We compare the main providers' plans side by side, explain what to check before buying, and write short, practical guides for first-time visitors.

How we choose what to recommend

  • Prices are dated. Every price on the site shows when it was last checked, with a link to where it came from.
  • Sources are listed. Our guides link to the provider pages and independent reviews they are based on.
  • We say what we haven't tested. Until we have run our own tests in China, we label provider claims as provider claims. We'll publish our own speed and app results as we collect them.
  • Commission doesn't decide rankings. We rank plans on price, data, hotspot rules and reliability — not on what a provider pays us.

How we make money

Some links on this site are affiliate (partner) links. If you click one and buy a plan, the provider may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way. These commissions keep the site free and independent.

Partner links are marked as sponsored in the page code, and pages that contain them say so near the top.
